Limudei Kodesh Faculty

Rabbi Moshe Zakheim, Rosh Yeshiva

Rabbi Zakheim has been an integral part of Ohr Shlomo since 2018 and currently serves as our passionate 12th Grade Rebbi. Known for his engaging teaching style and ability to make complex Torah topics both clear and exciting, he inspires his students to grow in learning and character—both during their time in Yeshiva and for years afterward.

After learning in Yeshiva Darchei Torah, Yeshivas Toras Moshe in Yerushalayim, and Beth Medrash Govoha, Rabbi Zakheim continues to benefit from the guidance of his esteemed Rebbeim and Roshei Yeshiva. He is a close talmid of Rabbi Yaakov Bender and Rabbi Michel Shurkin, from whom he received Rabbinic ordination.

Rabbi Zakheim is deeply committed to the success of his students, past and present, and is known for guiding them with a unique blend of warmth, clarity, and wit.

Rabbi Dov Milstein, Menahel, Rebbi

Rabbi Milstein has been a dedicated and beloved High School Rebbi for over 20 years and our 9th grade Rebbi since 2013. His enthusiasm for teaching is only equaled by his love for his students helping him shape the lives of all those who have passed through his classroom.

Rabbi Milstein has been a student of Mirrer Yeshivah all his life. He enjoyed an especially close relationship with Rav Shmuel Berenbaum z"l, and continues to receive guidance from Rav Elya Brudny and Rav Ezriel Erlanger.

Rabbi Milstein is also the Rav and Rosh Kollel of Kollel Hashechunah where he gives lectures and offers many programs for the young men and children.

Rabbi Akiva Adelman, Rebbi, Israel Guidance

Rabbi Adelman has been our dynamic 11th Grade Rebbi since 2020.

After years of learning in kollel and teaching in a post-high school yeshiva in Israel, Rabbi Adelman brings refined skills in advanced Torah study to our talmidim. He forms strong, lasting connections with his students and continues to guide them well beyond high school, offering support through various stages of life.

In addition to teaching Gemara and Halacha, Rabbi Adelman oversees our Israel Guidance Program, helping each student navigate their next steps after graduation.

Rabbi Adelman learned in Yeshiva Shaar HaTorah–Grodno, Brisk Yeshiva, and the Mir in Yerushalayim. He received Rabbinic ordination from Rav Moshe Sternbuch and maintains a close connection with Rav Yitzchok Berkowitz, Rosh Yeshiva of Aish HaTorah, from whom he continues to seek guidance.

A licensed social worker (LMSW), Rabbi Adelman also serves as director of Shlomie’s Club, a support organization for children and teens who have experienced the loss of a parent.

Rabbi Avrohom Yehuda Rubinfeld, Rebbi

Being involved with High School age boys for almost two decades, Rabbi Rubinfeld brings with him time-tested methods to give over complex and intricate subjects in an engaging yet digestible manner. Fun, positive, and warm in that special Ohr Shlomo way, Rabbi Rubinfeld has shown an exceptional ability to lead young men by recognizing where they are and sharing their dreams for greatness. With a keen understanding of today’s youth, he is able to gently encourage and guide his students through the turbulence which adolescence brings with it.

Rabbi Rubinfeld studied in Yeshivas Novominsk, Yeshivas Pachad Yitzchok in Jerusalem, and Mesivta Yeshiva Rabbi Chaim Berlin. He had a close connection with Rav Aaron Schechter and continues to receive guidance and direction from his Rosh Yeshiva, Rav Yonason David, as well as Rav Shlomo Halioua, current Rosh Yeshiva of Chaim Berlin.
