Rabbi Shimon Dovid Yanofsky comes from a rich pedigree of mechanchim and has had a long career of success in leading yeshivas and inspiring young people. Rabbi Shimon Dovid Yanofsky comes from a rich pedigree of mechanchim and has had a long career of success in leading yeshivas and inspiring young people. After decades of teaching and administrative experience, he joins Ohr Shlomo at a vital time in its growth and development. Rabbi Yanofsky is tirelessly devoted to the well-being of each and every talmid, and carefully cares for the entirety of the yeshiva as well.

Rabbi Dr. Fischel Engelberg graduated from Yeshiva University in New York City with a Masters and Doctorate in Educational Supervision. He earned his undergraduate degree from Hofstra University in Psychology. He received his Rabbinical Ordination from Yeshiva Torah Vodaath. He is a founding principal of two Yeshiva High Schools, one in R

Rabbi Dr. Fischel Engelberg graduated from Yeshiva University in New York City with a Masters and Doctorate in Educational Supervision. He earned his undergraduate degree from Hofstra University in Psychology. He received his Rabbinical Ordination from Yeshiva Torah Vodaath. He is a founding principal of two Yeshiva High Schools, one in Riverdale, New York and the other in Brooklyn, New York. He has held the position of Principal for over 35 years, including pre-school through grade 12 and has been an Adjunct Professor in Touro University since 2004 and Asst. Professor at Daemen University since 2011. He has given workshops to principals and teachers at various conferences on the topics of motivating students to succeed, behavior management, differentiated instruction, and early childhood/childhood safety and abuse prevention.

After earning a B.S. in psychology, Mr. Vegh spent several years in medical school as well as rabbinical school; ultimately deciding upon a career in education. Mr. Vegh has been teaching and tutoring various subject matter in the yeshivah system for two decades; although his primary fields are high school science and math. Aside from secular studies, he also functions as a Ba’al Kriah and Ba’al Tefillah in his shul - in addition to performing pulpit and administrative duties. Mr. Vegh is a people-person who loves to share information - both teaching and learning - with his family, peers, fellow congregants and students.

Mr. Yitzchak Martin brings knowledge, passion, and perspective to the Ohr Shlomo classroom. A proud graduate of Touro University with a B.A. in Political Science, he is currently pursuing a graduate degree in Jewish History. Mr. Martin’s enthusiasm for the past and its lessons comes alive in every class, where he challenges students to see history not just as facts and dates, but as a living story that shapes our understanding of the world today. With several years of teaching experience, he inspires curiosity and thoughtful discussion in every lesson.

Yehuda Blonder oversees Media and Technology at Ohr Shlomo, bringing creativity, technical expertise, and a tremendous amount of energy to the Yeshiva.

Yehuda is the founder of Venture Tech, where he works with individuals and organizations to solve programming, computer, and technology challenges. He is also the host of the Unique Perspective Podcast, where he interviews movers and shakers in the Jewish chesed world and highlights the people and organizations making a meaningful impact on the community.

At Ohr Shlomo, Yehuda is the driving force behind our podcasts, videos, media projects, and technology initiatives. Whether he is behind the camera, behind a microphone, solving a technical problem, or helping bring a new idea to life, Yehuda has become an invaluable—and beloved—member of the Ohr Shlomo family.
